He was predeceased by: his parents, Seth A. Howard and Mary Lucy Howard Testone (Ballard); his wife Carolyn; and his sons, Darrell and Lynn.
He is survived by: his son Shorty Howard (Robin) of LaBelle; and his sister Sandra Thomas (Jimmy) of Palatka. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
