He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Andrea; his children, Gary, Lisa (Nick), Mark (Hannah) and Dennis; his grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Christian and Eric; his mother Helen Phister; his siblings, Karol (Rose Marie), Marjorie (Gary), Jim (Cathy), Tim (Jeannie), Amy (JR), Edward (Renee), Diana Salzman, George (Jeanne), Patricia Lieb and Greg Lieb; his father Jim Phister; and his son Thomas Joseph Phister II. He was also cherished by Nieces, Nephews and cousins.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Tom with Shriners or Wounded Warrior Project.
