It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Oscar Rigdon of Lehigh Acres, Florida, who passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Rigdon of Washington and Byrdie Lee Mobley; and his sisters, Myrtis Long, Massie Wallace and Violet Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Griffin; his children, Virginia Marauszwski (Gini), Colleen O'Brien (Mark) and Jay Rigdon (Teresa); his sisters, Myra Rigdon, Ola Mae Kirkland (Henry), Shirley Rene Carmona and Debra Artille; his grandchildren, Christian Rigdon, Seamus, Patrick Morrison, Jonathan May, Joshua Marauszwski, James, Adam, Jacob O'Brien, Michael, Breonna Rigdon, Gianna Geary, Dylan, Jayce and Giovanni Rigdon; his great grandchildren, Wesley, Victoria, Everett, Brooke, Siena and Brodi; and his mother-in-law Virginia Victoria Griffin. He is also survived by eight children.
To best ensure everybody's health, due to the recent rise in Covid cases, all attending these services will be required to wear a face mask.
In lieu of flowers OJ requested that donations be made to The Marine Corps League to help support veterans and their families in need. Donations CANNOT be made online, but may be made through the Dwyer Funeral Home.
