It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Esther Berrios-Marrero of Lehigh Acres, Florida, who passed away on December 5, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramon Marrero and Paula Ortiz; her son Jose Luis "Little Joe" Berrios Jr.; and her siblings, Victor Ramon Marrero, Juanita Marrero, Raul Marrero, Ángel Manuel Marrero, Félix Marrero and Silvia Marrero.

She is survived by: her husband Jose Luis "Papa" Berrios Rivera; her children, Luis Ramon Berrios (Norma) and Anna Marie Thomas (Jerry); her grandchildren, Rebecca, Luis Jr., Xavier and Noralis; her great grandchildren, Penelope and Emarelli; and her brother Pablo Marrero Ortiz (Rosa Soto).
