He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Everette Burchard, Sr. and Ella Margaret Burchard (Forrey); his son John Paul Burchard; and his brothers, Robert Everette Burchard, Jr. and Easton Burchard.

He is survived by: his wife Neila R. Burchard; his children, Michael Thielen, Joshua Cline (Ariel), Rachel Gambele (Christopher), Ella Marie Jourdan (Phil), Tiffany Donovan (Matthew) and Trinity Thielen; and his grandchildren, Preston, Christopher, Arabella, Joseph, Daniel, Leta, Ame, Amelia and Evelyn.
