He was predeceased by: his parents, George Howard and Carol Lipscomb (Larry); his granddaughter Alexandra; and his nephew Keith. He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda (Jason Shrewsbury) and Jennifer Eckert (Andrew Johnson); his wife Rebecca V. Howard; his son James S. Howard II; his grandchildren, Cheyanne, Laura, Savanna, John, Marky, Keith Allan, Zoey, Kylee and Annie; his brother Sam Howard; and his sister-in-law Judy Simons (Skip). He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces.
In leu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in Jim's honor to either: SAAP-(stray animal adoption program) in Northern Kentucky, P.O. Box 72040.
