He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Brown and Gustavus Brown Sr.; his brother Gustavus Brown Jr.; and his granddaughter Kirsten Elizabeth Karr. He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his daughters, Kimberly Keenan (Robert) of Naples, Fla. and Karla Brown-Garcia (Pedro) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Elizabeth Karr and Luke Jameson Garcia; his niece Lisa Brown Lim (Mark) of Fredericksburg; and his sisters-in-law, Ida Lambrose of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Betty Nolan Kiser of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
