It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ida Mae Whitaker of Lehigh Acres, Florida, who passed away on November 2, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Otto Peavler and Vera Winford Peavler; her husband Edwin Whitaker; her stepmother Lucy Peavler; her sons, Cameron Scott and Roy Scott Jr.; and her sister Esta Hayden.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Richardson (Gerald), Rhonda Bradshaw (Mitch), Christy Chandler (Pat), Victor Scott (Sheila), Rocky Walker (Mike), Jamie Whitaker and Linda Disher; and her sister Dixie Mae West. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
