He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Gelber; and his grandson Alex Waterman. He is survived by: his wife Jeri Gelber; his children, Karen, Amy (David), Stacey (Jason) and Jonathan (Elina); his grandchildren, Eitan, Jesse, Naomi, Liam, Odin, Noah and Ella; his great grandchild Samantha; his siblings, Steven Gelber, Donald Gelber and Lenny Gelber; and his siblings-in-law, Debra Voz (Bill) and Lonny Rose (Amy).

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in his name to the American Cancer Society or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
