He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Junior Perkins and Rebha Louise Perkins (Knowles); his children, Chad E., Dennis Austin and Reba B Perkins; and his sisters, Brenda Beer and Debra Tolar. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
