He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Ruth Schneider (Ogden); his former wife Lois S. Sorn; and his son Joe Adair. He is survived by: his wife Janice Lee of Leesburg, FL; his daughters, Deborah Meyers (David) of Freeport and Pamela Adair of San Angelo; his granddaughter Amanda Meyers of Freeport; his stepgranddaughter Christy Adair of California; and his stepchildren, Terri Chaput of South Carolina, Lori Russell, Christopher Lips of Florida, Kevin Lips of New Mexico, Jason Lips of Virginia, John Lips of Ohio, Beth Beckler of Ohio, Deanna Dotson of Ohio and Jim Lips of Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
