He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Rapisarda and Jessie Rapisarda (Froton); and his brother John. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Richard, Steven Joseph, Elaine Carolyn and David John; his wife Carolyn; his daughter Elaine C. Zimmerman (late John); and his sister Rosalie Buck (Terry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
