She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hoke and Martha Hoke (Smith); and her siblings, Esther Byers and Eldon Hoke. She is survived by: her husband Robert Van Doren; her brother Noel Hoke of Indiana; and her nieces, Kaylin, Kelly, Karla, Pam and Cheryl.

Donations in her name can be given to St Jude Research.
