He is survived by: his spouse Josephine (Dooley); and his grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Swatts of Indiana, Jaclyn Brook Maddox of Indiana and John David Maddox of Indiana. He is also survived by three great- grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
