He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Simpson and Lucille Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Kay Shough Simpson; his children, Candice Mahoney (Shawn), Aliyah Mahoney and Aaron Mahoney of Colorado Springs, CO; his great grandchild Christian Shawn Mahoney; his brother Charles "Pete" Simpson (Sheila) of Eden, NC; his nephews, Clint Simpson (Angela) of Eden, NC, Adam Simpson (Samantha) of Danville, VA and Ty Nations of Eden, NC.; and his friends, Jeff, Sheri Barker, Charles and Rhonda Johnson. He is also survived by great nephew and great nieces.
