She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Carroll Granger and Eva Amelia Granger (Frazer); and her aunt Ruth F. Frazer. She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Ring of Leesburg, FL; her daughter Jami M. Beggs (Ring); her son-in-law Andrew L. Beggs; her granddaughter Reaghan J. Beggs of Marietta, GA.; her sister Ann Sail (Granger); her brother-in-law Michael Sail of Clermont, FL; her sister Susan Mitsis (Granger); her brother-in-law Charles Mitsis of Hudson, MA; her brother Robert C. Granger Jr.; her sister-in-law Katherine Granger of Davenport, FL; her brother Dennis; and her sisters-in-law, Brenda Ring of Mashpee, MA and Mary Ring of Suwanee, GA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Joan was a lifelong, avid lover, of Labrador retrievers and horses, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joan's name to the Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto, FL or the DreamCatcher Horse Rescue in Clermont, FL.
