She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Shafar; and her daughter Nancy Chambers. She is survived by: her children, Jim Shafar (Donna) of Fruitland Park, FL, Don "Donnie" Shafar (Konnie) of Tavares, FL and Peggy Thompson (Hugh) of Leesburg, FL.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
