She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Niemeier and Anna Niemeier; her brothers, Norman Jr. and Dean Niemeier (Frank Heim); and her daughter Karen Jackson.

She is survived by: her husband Dr. Frank Heim; her children, Chad Heim (Kathy) of Leesburg, Kurt Heim (Laurie) of Cartersville, GA and Kathy Sims (Dave) of Tallahassee; her grandchildren, Wesley Heim (Allison) of Lutz, Kristen Heim of Boston, MA, Dylan Sims (Sara) of Bangkok and Kacey Baradwaj (Arjun) of Atlanta, GA; and her great grandchildren, Layla and Tyler Heim of Lutz.
