She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband David Smith; her daughters, Amy Ely and Erin Hockett; her siblings, Jimmy Jarrett and Jennifer Jarrett; her son-in-law Dan Hockett of Charlotte; her sister-in-law Connie Jarrett; her grandchildren, Jarrett Ely, Keira Ely, Reed Ely of Atlanta, Grace Hockett and David Hockett of Charlotte; and her parents, James "Jim" and Jeane Jarrett (McCauley).
