He was predeceased by: his father William DeWitt; his former wives, Dorothy Atkins DeWitt and Frances DeWitt; and his brothers, William and Walter DeWitt.
He is survived by: his wife Dona DeWitt of Leesburg; his daughters, Dorothy Malmstedt of Gulfport, FL and Jan Guthrie of Vero Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Sharlene Dowling, Christine Vrettos, Gilles Stucker, Jr. and Benjamin Stucker; and his siblings, Phyllis McCoy and Francis DeWitt. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
