Florence J. Cusick Obituary
Florence J. Cusick, 93, passed away in Leesburg, FL on Saturday, February 8, 2025, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Maud (Cook) Stevens.
Born in Gloucester, she graduated from Gloucester High School – Class of 1949. After many years as a homemaker raising 4 children, she returned to the workforce as a bank teller, retiring at age 65 from Citizens Bank in Gloucester. For 10 years from 1991 to 2001, she and Howard traveled to Englewood, Florida for 3 months every winter. In retirement, she loved going to water aerobics at the YMCA, played cribbage at the senior center and volunteered many hours at the North Shore Music Theatre.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Linda Hinkhaus (husband Bud) of Leesburg, FL, Donna Cusick of Hudson, NH, Marianne Stewart (Stu Lewin) of Merrimack, NH; 8 grandchildren, Heather White, Matthew Lavigne, Brittany Lavigne, Kurt Fox, Kim Fox, Brian Stewart, Katelyn Stewart, Christina Stewart and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Florence is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Howard J. Cusick; her son, Thomas Cusick; and her sister, Barbara Tesene.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect St, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Private burial service will follow.
