He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Jaeger and Irene Jaeger (Thomas); his wife Beverly Jean Huizenga; his grandchildren, Melissa Sheppard-Nelson and Alex Johnson; his sisters, Helen Leibfried and Vivian A. Ruden; and his stepmother Stella Hefel Jaeger.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Sheppard (Richard) of Silvis, IL, Rita Tomkins (Robert) of Silvis, IL, Lynn Lamson (Jeff) of Baraga, MI, Paula Jaeger of Davenport, IA, Richard Jaeger of Morrison, IL and James Jaeger (Wendy) of Dubuque, IA; his stepchildren, Renee Housenga-Johnson of Clinton, IA, Shane Housenga (Jennifer) of Morrison, IL and Darin Housenga (Dawn) of Morrison, IL; his sister Madonna Bauer Gudenkauf of Dubuque, IA; and his stepsister Sandy Schmitt Rolwes of Dubuque, IA.. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bosma-Renkes - Fulton Chapel (1500 10th Ave, Fulton, IL 61252).
