She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Exler and Anna Exler; and her son Richie John. She is survived by: her husband Richard Kubis; her children, Jennifer Shoemaker (Daniel) and Stacy Hargrove (John); her grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Richard, Lucille, Jolena and Edison; and her siblings, Lynda Shapiro, Roberta Petty and Raymond Exler.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Children's Heart Foundation (https://www.childrensheartfoundation.org.) in Claudia's name, as this cause was dear to her heart.
