He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Mesch and Catherine Mesch; and his siblings, Leona Mesch, Francis Kring, Arnold Mesch, Jr., Lorraine Lawrenz, Audrey VanKirk and Robert John Mesch.

He is survived by: his sister Shirley Tannhauser (William) of Illinois. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
