He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. O'Brien and Mildred O'Brien; and his brothers, William Jr., Thomas, Edward and Eugene.

He is survived by: his wife Heidi O'Brien of Fort Myers, FL; his children, Shannon O'Brien (Sherrie) of Memphis, TN and Patrick O'Brien (Carla) of Cape Coral, FL; his grandchildren, Shelby (Chase), Cullen (Karen), Cassidy, Sean and Shane; and his great grandchildren, Kelwyn and Brantley. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cape Christian Fellowship (2110 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991).
