She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Samson and Martin Samson; her stepmother Mabel Samson; and her sister Dorothy Gorrell. She is survived by: her husband Lee; her sister Opal Roth; her godchild Shay Phillips (Bryan); and also, Burke, Roan, Spencer Perry, Steven and Linda Perry.

Although Alzheimer's took so much from Barbara, up until a week before her passing she could still play the piano and read music.
