She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel T. Canterbury and Wyona Taylor Canterbury; her former husband Lloyd Nelson; her siblings, Homer, Herman, Clarence, Gene, Ray, Wade, Douglas Canterbury, Laura Robinette and Velma Harden; and her brother-in-law Stephen Nelson (Dalvis Simpkins).
She is survived by: her husband Danny Simpkins; her sister Judy Russell; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Canterbury, Kelly Nelson, Ronnie Nelson (Tami), Donnie Nelson (Jan), Paul Nelson (Debbie), Dale Simpkins and Karen Riley. She is also survived by 2 step children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Church of Christ (797 S Rowe Terrace, Lecanto, FL 34461).
