It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonell Norman of Lawtey, Florida, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Norman and Maybell Norman; the father of her children Vernon W. Griffis; her grandson Jeremy Griffis; and her siblings, Eugene Norman and Carol Coleman.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon W. Griffis; her daughters, Renae Freeman (Jim), Rita Acevedo (Ace), Rose Odom (Richard) and Regina Rizer (John); her grandchildren, Michelle Evernden (Chip), Jonathan Rizer (Christy), Amanda Rizer, Chad Griffis (Crystal), Jared Freeman and Kayla Dobbs (Channing); and her siblings, Betty Starling, Paul Norman (Janet) and Robert Norman (Debbie). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
