He was predeceased by: his parents, George Guy Starling, Sr. and Nancy Pearl Prescott; his sister Nettie Herrin; his brothers-in-law, Jack Herrin and Cecil Polk; and his niece Grindol Walden.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Starling; his children, Robert (Hilda), William (Carrie), Lori (Greg), Kayla, Jonathan, Nathan (Jessica) and Brian; his sister Sylvia Polk; and his great grandchild Mattie Woods. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren.
