It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Sumlin Thomas of Laurel Hill, Florida, born in Bagdad, Florida, who passed away on May 31, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sumlin and Cora Lee Sumlin; her husband James A. Thomas; and her brother Howard Sumlin. She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Field (Geoff), Becky Thomas (Garson Cooley) and Michael Thomas; her grandchildren, Chase, Kyle Resmondo, Matt Field (Jayme) and Chip Cooley; her great grandchildren, Hayes, Harper Joan Cooley, Ashlyn, Reese and Abram Field; and her close friend Naomi Presley.
