He was predeceased by : his wife Julia Zeto; his sons, Jeffery and Gregory; his siblings, Celia and Leon; and his parents, Elias Levitt and Rachel Levitt.

He is survived by : his children, Barbara Klein (Stuart) and David Levitt (Karl Shires); his granddaughters, Allyson Duffy (Matthew) and Abigail Klein; and his great grandchildren, Julia and Eden.

In Lieu of flowers his family requests donations to the American Brain Tumor Association or the American Heart Association.
