He was predeceased by: his parent Ewell Sweet of Winter Haven; and his son Blair Sweet. He is survived by: his parent Eleanor Sweet (Worth) of Winter Haven; his wife Nina Sweet; his sons, Scott Sweet of St. Petersburg and Justin Sweet of Clearwater; his brothers, Dale Sweet (Kitty) of Winter Haven and Alan Sweet (Kandi) of Thomasville, GA; his grandsons, Andrew Sweet and Daniel Sweet; and also Rod Sweet of Winter Haven.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
