He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boyle and Joan Wagner Boyle; and his siblings, Timothy Boyle and Susan Boyle. He is survived by: his wife Joan Carol Boyle; his daughters, Karen Terry (Jim) and Amy Hetreed (Chris); and his grandsons, Alex and Jim Hyde.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Young at Heart", a local charity dear to Steve, to supplement the many extra needs of elementary schools in Largo.

“Steve and I were first cousins. As the oldest, the was the wisest of the crew. As we aged, that role did not change. Steve was always the source of sage advice and counsel...even when he was up to his ears in his struggles. While very sad at his passing, I am joyful at his going home. His faith lead him well.”
