He is survived by: his spouse Fior Gonzalez; his parents, Ricardo Cartagena Sr. of Middletown, CT and Angelina Laboy of New Britain, CT.; his children, Miguel Alvarado, Xavier Cartagena and Anjali Alvarado; and his siblings, Maria Cartagena, Marta Cartagena, David Cartagena, Joseph Cartagena and Issac Cartagena. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
