She was predeceased by: her former husband Jerome P. Shields; and her parents, David Petrie Thornton and Catherine Thornton. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Gill; her daughters, Maureen Nixon (Ed Nixon) and Nora Jean Shields; and her grandchildren, Alexandra Elizabeth Shields, Brittany Jean Nixon and Jamie Lynn Laudani.
