He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Helen; his former wife Geraldine; and his siblings, Emma, Virginia, Delores, Thomas and Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry; his children, Kathy Bathon (Gary) of Lebanon, IL, J. Danny Mumper (Kathy) of Collinsville, IL and Diane Seymore (Jeffery) of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Kari Porter, Jami Mumper, Erin Goebel (Jacob) and Jeffery Seymore, II (Becky); his great grandchildren, Reese Porter, Joshua, Sara Goebel, Cade Williams, Cody Markle, Kaitlyn Markle-Seymore, Devin, Jeffery, III and Addison Seymore; and his siblings, Ruth Ann, Norma, Kenneth, Robert, Earl, Nancy, Patricia, Bonnie, Sandra and Vickie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
