He was predeceased by: his parents, James McBride and Marjorie McBride (Teater); and his brothers, Richard McBride, Edward McBride and Donald McBride (Helen).
He is survived by: his sons, James McBride (Tracy) of Safety Harbor and Kevin McBride of New Port Richey; his grandchildren, Christopher (Bianca), Nicholas, Brent Lee and Linn (Andrew); and his siblings, Patrick McBride of New Milford, Raymond McBride (Maureen) of Torrington, Matthew McBride (Diane) of Enfield, Catherine Kimlin (Henry), Dorothy Langley (Frank), Marjorie Skoog (Gene) and Barbara McBride. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
