“Evelyn was my dearest friend. We were so close because we talked about everything under the sun. We shared our musical talents, and she passed on lots of wisdom to me. She accepted me for who I am despite my quirks and when she had a criticism she had a neat way of putting things. We were both visually and hearing impaired and we took the bus everywhere together. I loved her cooking, especially her potato pancakes, salmon patties and soups. She will be loved and missed by all of us.”
