He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Batson and Elinor Batson (Kurz); his children, Edward John Batson and Heather Noelle Batson; and his grandson Luke Prendergast.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Batson; and his children, Michael T. Batson (Terrie Ware), Maureen Harvey (David Harvey) and Jeanne Marie Prendergast (Ralph Lutz). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
