He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Herndon and Walberta Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Susan Herndon (Buss); his daughter Lori Hornecker (Tom Hornecker); his granddaughters, Natalie Hornecker and Olivia Hornecker; his son Joseph Herndon (Kristin Herndon); his grandchildren, Brianna Herndon and William Herndon; his stepson Kristopher Yates; his granddaughter Evelyn Yates; and his siblings, Regina Fedorchak and Tymon Herndon (Ted).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, a cause close to Lee's heart.
