He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Dickson and Emeline Dickson (Hoke); his siblings, Maxine Dickson and James Dickson; his nephew Jeff Dickson; and his son Gary E. Dickson.

He is survived by: his wife Margie; his grandchildren, April, Rick Diden, Casey Krueger, Leah Reynolds, Olivia Hall, Nicholas, Arias Diaz, Shawn Wallace, Tracy, Jennifer Dickson, Jeremy, Jeffrey and Billy Ray; his great grandchildren, Cheyann Welch, Cody Daniels, Kayla Delashmit, Wyatt Faircloth, Katelynn Dickson, Benjamin, Jackson, Evelyn, Samantha, Zachary, Lane, Wyatt Ray, Alexander Diden, Abraham, Isaac and Daniel Ortiz; and his great great grandchildren, Hayden, Dominic Hernandez, Kai Krueger, Bella, Olivia Diaz, Orion Daniels Diaz, Maddison, Kira and Zelda Diaz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
