With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rodolfo Javier Miro of Lakeland, Florida, born in Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 4, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Rodolfo Javier has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Rodolfo Garcia Miro. He is survived by: his mother Maria Luisa (Gonzalez); his son Alexander Javier Miro; his siblings, Lourdes Miro and Francis Miro; his nephew Remy Bird Miro; and also, Carmen Reyes and Debi Bird.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:45 PM and at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (210 W Lemon St, Lakeland, FL 33815).

Memorial donations may be offered to St. Joseph Church, Good Shepherd Hospice, or a charity of your choice.

I remember you helping to coach the Santa Fe basketball team my senior year, and the many nights I spent in Miami with Francis and Rudy.
