Patricia Ann (Miller) Benner Obituary

Patricia Ann (Miller) Benner transitioned on March 17th, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Affectionately known as “Tricia”, she was born in Sodus, New York to Joann Miller and Kelly Miller, Jr., and later moved to Utica, New York where she was raised. Patricia attended Utica City Schools and graduated from Utica Senior Academy at Proctor. She then attended Oneida County BOCES in Utica, where she earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Patricia relocated to Florida to raise her family and work.

Patricia was predeceased by her father, Kelly Miller, Jr., and father-figure Robert Spratt. Her legacy lives on as she is survived by her mother, Joann Miller of Lakeland, Florida; children: Charles “CJ” Ellis, Jr. (Adrienna) of Panama City, FL; Kiyra Ellis of Orlando, FL, and Christian Benner, Jordan Benner, & Olivia Benner of Lakeland, FL; sisters Roxann Miller of Lakeland, FL & Angela Smith (Anthony) of Rochester, NY; brother Kelly “Junior” Miller, and grandson Silas Ellis of Colorado. “Aunt Trisha” also leaves behind her niece, Kianna Venturini of New York, NY; and nephews Kareem Smith and Omar Smith of Rochester, NY.

Patricia poured into her children and her life’s joy was seeing their successes. CJ is a United States Air Force Veteran and now a corrections officer, and Kiyra is a practicing lawyer. We will all miss her deep laughter and her love for the finer, yet simpler things in life.
