He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Slack and Jessie Slack (Jackson); and his brothers, George Slack (Betty) and Dean Slack (Carol). He is survived by: his daughters, Tracey Uphoff (Stan) and LeAnne Decker (Chuck); and his grandchildren, Charlie Decker, Jessie Decker (Cassidy Page), Sam Uphoff, Mick Decker and Olive Decker.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (303 S Locust St, Pana, IL 62557).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School at 3 E. Fourth St., Pana, IL, or Effingham County Humane Society, P.O. Box 321, Effingham, IL.
