He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Retha Pittman Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Cora Fitch; his children, Bobbie Lanier (Jason), Dee Dee Lucas, John Mitchell, Jr. and Michael Mitchell; his grandchildren, Ryan Keith Adams (Alice Renee), Jeremy, Jenna, Jordan, Joy, Julianna, Andy and Cayla; his nieces and nephews, Jill, John, Sara, Bart (Bri), Jordan and Mia; and his great grandchild Aislynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Mitchell are graciously requested to be made to Veterans Association.
