He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Woodard; his parents, Thomas Cornelius and Nora Stout; his sons, Carl Stephen Dyer and David Edward Dyer; and his grandson Justin Edward Dyer.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Dyer (Deborah) and Barbara Lee (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Brian Dyer, Greg Dyer, Jeni Dyer, Jason Dyer, Matthew Dyer, Jared Lee, Jamison Lee, Amanda Lee Fernandez, David Dyer Junior and Sarah Dyer Gural. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lakeland Funeral Home (2125 Bartow Rd, Lakeland, FL 33801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
