He was predeceased by: his wife Norma; his sibling Jerry (Helen); and his son Brian. He is survived by: his brother Ronnie (Greta); and his daughter Tara (Brian Martin).
Family asks in lieu of flowers, that all contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
