It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Phillips Tinkler of Lake Wales, Florida, who passed away on September 22, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Alexander and Mary Phillips Tinkler; and also Sam. He is survived by: his wife Elsie McGill; his sister Ann Devlin of Greenville, SC; and his children, Ellen Reinig (James) of Milton, GA, William Phillips, Jr. of Atlanta, Paul (Elizabeth) of Charleston, David (Brigid) of Davidson, NC and Robert of Chico, CA.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, seven nieces, and eight nephews.
