He was predeceased by: his parents, Cordie Tapley and Bertie Tapley; and his son Richard, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ardelle; his children, Robert (Yvonne) and Shirley (David); his grandchildren, Josh (Amber), Charlene (Adam), Amanda (Lamar), Tabiatha (Shawn), Nathaniel, Madison and Anthony; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Richard, Emaly, Daiton, Paisley, Avah, Kayden, Kamden, Riley, Zoey, Baxton and Kinsley. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
