He was predeceased by: his father Charles Abel; his former wife Thelma Abel; and his brothers, Robert Abel and Ronald Abel. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Abel; his children, Deborah Stokes of Davenport, Kimberly Parsons of Champaign, Susan Barenberg of Kansas, Oklahoma and Thomas Zelenka of Lake Wales; and his sister Doris Vancho of Browns Mills. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
